Get Started with Your Trezor Hardware Wallet

1. Connect Your Device

Unpack your Trezor device and connect it to your computer using the USB cable included in the box. You will see the Trezor screen activate once it is plugged in.

It is recommended to always purchase Trezor devices from official sources to avoid counterfeit products.

2. Install Trezor Suite

Trezor Suite is the official app for managing your crypto securely. It provides a convenient interface to check balances, send and receive coins, and manage device settings.

Download Trezor Suite for your operating system:

• Web App
• Desktop App (Windows, Mac, Linux)

3. Install Firmware

When you connect your Trezor for the first time, it does not have firmware installed. Trezor Suite will automatically guide you to install the latest firmware to ensure your device is secure and up to date.

Follow the on-screen instructions carefully. This process only takes a few minutes.

4. Create a New Wallet or Recover an Existing One

Once the firmware is installed, you can create a new wallet. This generates a unique recovery seed—a list of 12, 18, or 24 words that can restore your wallet on any Trezor.

Important: Write down your recovery seed on paper and store it securely offline. Never share your seed with anyone or enter it on an untrusted computer.

If you already have a wallet, you can choose "Recover wallet" and enter your recovery seed to restore your funds.

5. Secure Your Recovery Seed

Your recovery seed is the only backup of your wallet. Anyone with access to it can control your funds.

• Never take a digital photo of your recovery seed.
• Do not store it in cloud services or emails.
• Consider using a metal backup plate for extra durability.

6. Start Using Your Wallet

With your wallet created and secured, you can start managing cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and many others.

From Trezor Suite, you can:

• Check account balances
• Send and receive transactions
• Label your accounts
• Exchange coins via integrated services

Trezor Suite offers advanced security options such as passphrase encryption and coin management.
